We tried almost all the BBQ sauces. Love the cornbread. But the cookie wasn't anything to write home about. Great seating inside and out. ”

“ We were out cruising in Cottonwood this week and when we consulted Yelp for a place for lunch, the Colt Grill came up looking pretty good. We were not disappointed. It was not too crowded, parking really easy in front. Inside the atmosphere is warm and western. There is also an outside dining area with lots of tables. It was a bit chilly. We ate inside. I was impressed with the attention to details that went into the food. My husband's beef brisket tacos were excellent. The brisket was juicy and there was a lot of it. I had the smoked turkey wrap. The wrap itself was grilled, and the turkey was the real thing, gently smoked. I am guessing it was smoked in house. It was a very yummy lunch. The service was very friendly and efficient. I look forward to a return visit,. ”

“ While in Cottonwood, we stopped at Colt Grill for dinner. While walking up to the restaurant, I was greeted by the amazing smell of BBQ. The restaurant is small and was busy but not super crowded. It's a walk-up style restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring out your food. They also have a large patio for outdoor seating. My husband ordered the sampler platter and fries, and everything came out so tender and juicy. We were so hungry we didn't get any pictures but if you're a BBQ fan, this is definitely a good spot to check out! ”

“ Stopped in for dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. My hubby got a burger and I opted to nosh on several sides. I got the smoked macaroni and cheese, garlic fries and of course his sides of ranch beans and Texas toast. I also tried the jalapeño margarita (definitely had a kick) and my hubby tried the Whistle Pig whiskey flight. We would definitely come back again. The service was good (it is an order then sit place) but everything was quick and so delicious. I loved the added bonus of getting to watch the grill master work the massive smokers outside. Great casual ambiance. ”

“ Our group of six was looking for a good breakfast spot on main street in Cottonwood and stumbled upon this restaurant. This is the perfect spot for a comfort food based breakfast. The menu was not overwhelming while still having some variety. There were a ya drip of vegetarian friendly options which was super helpful. You order at the counter and food is made so quickly! I loved the BBQ sauce bar inside, I highly recommend you try the golden bbq sauce. Staff were kind and quick to help. 10/10 would recommend! ”

“ Amazing barbecue location in the tiny town of Cottonwood, we usually go to the location in Sedona, which has a much better selection of local beers, but the food here couldn't be beat and we were well satisfied. Friendly staff made it all the better. We got a real kick out of the Cow pattern chairs, great ambience! ”

“ Casual and delicious dining. Grab a table, order at the register. Staff were friendly and courteous. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which was tender and mouth-watering. My hubby ordered the baby backs - fall off the bone tender, great taste. Because we were staying nearby for vacation, we also took a couple of cowboy cookies a cob salad for the next day. The cowboy cookie was perfect for me - delicious, scrumptious. Some folks may prefer more chocolate chips in a cowboy cookie - not me. DELISH! ”

“ Whenever I stop in Cottonwood I never miss eating at Colt Grill. When you're walking on the sidewalk just follow the smoke. I love pulled pork sandwiches and they never disappoint. Grabbed a side of beans and were set. They have a large patio that's real nice to sit on and enjoy your bbq. There's umbrellas for plenty of shade. They are dog friendly and I like that. The menu has many selections for us carnivores. They also serve beer and have a full bar. You order your food at the counter and then call you to pick up. Large indoor dining as well. Definitely recommend Colts! ”
